 My father, William was a special man.  He was called by many names, Dad, Pap-Pap, Melvin, Bill.  No matter what you called him, he was a quintessential member of what Tom Brokow calls, "The Greatest Generation."  On these pages we will share memories, pictures, and stories.  

It is a work in progress.  It will grew and expand as material becomes available.  Hopefully it will become a resource for the Hamerdinger family. 

For now, forgive the rough edges, the incomplete thoughts, the missing pictures and the errors.  Many of the pictures are links to things important to Dad.
