William married Hazel Katz on October 31, 1935. They were married 58 years until Hazel died in 1993. They raised three children, David Wilson, born in 1937, Susan Viola, born in 1943, and Stephen Haywood, born 1955. From the time they were married until after William returned from the War, they made there home in Washington. In 1945, though, they joined the mass exodus to the suburbs, buying a modest cape cod style home in East Pines, Maryland |
